Hot Tubs Engineered for the World’s Harshest Climates

How to use Power Management Feature of Hot Tub App

Okay, so just a quick update on MyArcticSpa.com. You’ll now see, up on the top, a tab called Diagnostics and you’ll have Power Consumption available to you now. So that used to be on the demo mode, it’s now available. And so all it is, is it just gives you, over the last 24 hours, the last 7 days, and the last 30 days, if you type in from your electricity bill how much you pay for electricity, it will convert for you and tell you approximately how much your spa is costing you to run. It gives you a little graph here just showing you what components have been running. And then it gives you a graph, this is the last 24 hours, and you’ll just see the kilowatts here and the time. So the heater was on, in this case, from 6:06 to 6:11. It was on for five minutes at June 15th, 2014.

Okay, and these ones down here, this will be your pump running on low speed, so this would be a filter cycle and this one would be a heating cycle. So it kind of just gives you an idea and then you can just start to get a history of how often your spa is running. It just kind of gives you a visual. There’s a couple heating cycles right in a row here, so probably the spa was used, would be my guess. And the last 30 days.

So this will be fairly accurate as long as you have a good internet connection, because it is relying on the connection of your spa to the internet. And if your spa disconnects, it can skew the data. So, say the heater was on, then it disconnected, and when it reconnected the heater was on, it’ll calculate it was on the whole time. So if it wasn’t, it’ll make this number look higher than it should be. So just keep those things in mind. And yeah, play around with it, and hopefully it enhances the way you use your hot tub.
